This beautiful sculpture was commissioned by long-time collectors of Geoffrey's work. They wanted an osprey to enjoy in their living room. After a meeting with Smith, they came up with the concept for the single osprey landing with a fish in a cypress tree.
The result is breathtaking.
 
The Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) can be found widely in warmer parts of North and South America. These raptors live near water and are known for their fishing skills. With a dive success rate of up to 70 percent, it is no wonder that they are so fascinating to watch.
