Using the meticulous lost-wax casting method, the composition beautifully juxtaposes the downy, soft look of the young birds' plumage against the heavy, deeply textured fissures of the weathered wood beneath them. The custom studio patina features rich, warm golden undertones that reflect ambient light beautifully, while a vibrant, multi-layered green tone emphasizes the organic structure of the base.
