Ibis Duet

Bronze

24 x 19 x 13 inches

The White Ibis (Eudocimus albus ) is a common wading bird in the Southeast coastal areas of the United States. They sweep their long bill side to side while foraging along shorelines and flooded areas. The Florida population is declining due to habitat loss, but their numbers are increasing overall in the U.S.

Native American folklore held that White Ibis are the last to seek shelter before a hurricane and the first to emerge afterward.

Often times in Florida, you will see a flock of ibis hunting for grubs and worms in your lawn.
