Pigs can be seen all over the world. In the wild, pigs eat just about everything. They feed on leaves, roots, and fruit as well as rodents and small reptiles. Their sharp tusks help them dig and fight. They are very social animals there, as they live in small groups that travel together. Pigs are also very smart animals and quite possibly may be the smartest of all domesticated animals. Boars are considered to be domesticated male pigs, but also can be wild pigs of any gender. Wild boars are not endangered because they are spread out throughout the world in protected areas.
