Sculpture Spotlight
This week's sculpture is the "Blue Cypress Lamp." The bronze depicts two Great Blue Herons, and is a perfect conversation piece in your home or office at 9"l x 9"w x 36"h.
Inspired while exploring Blue Cypress Lake when the Great Blue Herons were wading through the cypress trees fishing and enjoying the early morning sun. A calm silence made you forget that bustling towns were only thirty minutes away. Smith created this sculpture to capture a moment in time that he wanted to share with everyone.

In the Studio
The Great Blue Heron Duet Life-Size was completed years ago, but we wanted to share the transformation with you! It's incredible how the clay you see above can turn into the bronze sculpture you see below. This clay went out to our old foundry back in 2017 and they worked their magic to bring it to life using the lost wax process. Feel free to contact us with any questions about our casting process.
Please enjoy some photos from the Great Blue Heron Duet's visit to the foundry. This sculpture is on display at the studio, so we definitely invite you to come take a look at it in person!
